From Catapults to Cookies
Owned and operated by Lindsay Cooper since 2014, Baked Thicc is a product of passion, experience, and determination.
Cookies have been a part of Lindsay’s since her early childhood. Heavily focused on becoming independent.. at the old age of 8, she found a sugar cookie recipe in her mother’s cookbook and set off. From cookie discs to biscuits, Lindsay experienced it all. But the thing she experienced the most was a continued love for making cookies. This cookbook and love for cookies would be the start of it all for her and, ultimately, the backbone of Baked Thicc.
Eventually, her quest for independence led her on a journey with the Unites States Navy, as an Aviation Boatswain’s Mate: Equipment (ABE), where she learned attention to detail and gained an enormous amount of determination. Lindsay traveled all over the world and took part in several meaningful operations. Including Operation Tomodachi, where she suffered radiation exposure, thus ending her military career. She decided to take her determination to college as the beginning steps of business ownership.
” Quality Products. Quality Flavoring. Quality Craftsmanship. “
While pursing a degree in Accounting, Lindsay developed Cookies & Carburetors. She combined her passions of cookies and car culture into a brand. After years of juggling both Accounting and Cookie careers, with the knowledge and experience to support her, a stringent revamp for the brand occurred and Baked Thicc was born.
Baked Thicc focuses on all aspects of what’s important in a quality cookie. Quality Products. Quality Flavoring. Quality Craftsmanship. In an attempt to embody those
quality traits, Baked Thicc pursued a more involved position with product sources. Our baking team takes a firm stance on ethical product sourcing. So we decided to take the steps to make our stance known. We make our own vanilla paste from family-farmed beans, source our chocolate from sustainable farms, and aim to make our products with ethics and quality in mind.
In July of 2023 (on Lindsay’s Birthday!),
an opportunity presented itself and Lindsay jumped on it. Shortly thereafter, keys were in hand and a Grand Opening ensued in September of 2023! Baked Thicc’s retail location is located in a small Point Loma, San Diego community. Our small batch bakery prides itself on consistent quality and happy faces. Stop in today for your baked goods!
